Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, October 2, 2011, Mr. Willie Mack McClellan, 98, loving husband of the late Susie Miller McClellan.
Mr. McClellan was a native of Burke County and resided in Augusta for over 60 years. He was a member of Fleming Baptist Church. Mr. McClellan retired as the cafeteria manager from Lilly Tulip/O-I Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
Family members include his three devoted children, sons: Bill McClellan (Betty) of Augusta, Brint McClellan (Nedria) of Marietta; daughter, Judith McClellan Lewkowicz (Bob) of Evans; granddaughters: Jana West Anderson of Evans, Lauren Lee McClellan and Meredith Ann McClellan, both of Marietta; and great-granddaughters: Taylor and Parker Anderson of Evans; sister-in-law, Ida Williams McClellan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2:30 PM. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Billy Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park
Memorial contributions may be made to the GA War Veterans Nursing Home, 1101 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30901 or to Fleming Baptist Church, 3027 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta, GA 30906.
