Winifred Yvonne Russell

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, April 12, 2025, Mrs. Winifred Yvonne Russell, 97, loving wife of 58 years to the late Norman Keith Russell.

Winifred was born in Worcester, MA to the late Mederic and Alice Auger. She was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer and former member of West Lake Country Club.

Family members include her daughters: Winifred “Wendy” Lodwick and her husband Mark, Karen Keris and husband Michael, Joyce Bein Dyck and her husband Rod, and Sandra Russell; and grandchildren: Mark Lodwick and his wife Julie, Jessica Lodwick and her husband James, Lindsey Bein, and Philip Bein; great-grandchildren: Tyler Lodwick and Mia Lodwick; and brothers: Lawrence Auger and Robert Auger. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Mederic Auger, Jr., Richard Auger, and sisters: Germaine Chevalier and Cecile Auger.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Andrew Emenike, celebrant. Inurnment will follow at the Columbarium at Westover Memorial Park.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to: St. Mary On the Hill Catholic Church, 1420 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904.
