Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, August 1, 2022, Mrs. Zelma Beaver Broadwater, 84, wife of the late Mr. Robert Broadwater. She will be most remembered for loving her family beyond measure.
A lifetime resident of Augusta, Zelma retired from Kimberly Clark after 22+ years. She was a very intelligent woman who could fix anything and was always willing to help others. She never met a stranger she didn’t treat with love and kindness.
Family members include her six children; Lucious (Chuck) Stallings (Hope), Faye Stallings Groomes (Marvin), Denise Bradley, Laura Bradley Smith (Randy), Kathie Grogan and Shane Bradley; Fourteen grandchildren: Michelle Martin, Brandy Osborne, Mike Whiteman, Hattie Kirkland, Justice Groomes, Heather Woods, Shannon Yingling, Jennifer Hyatt, Christopher Rimmer, Jonathan Grogan, Bradley Grogan, Lynsie Grogan, Skylar Bradley and Beck Bradley. She also has 31 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She is survived by three sisters: Sandra Barinowski, Laura (Lolly) Beaver, Harriette Greer and one brother, Sandy Beaver and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Robbie Whiteman and Mark Groomes; one great-grandchild Sydney Whiteman and one brother, Thomas Beaver.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Harley Jones and Amanda Cannady who Ms. Broadwater thought of as her own.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Home with Randy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
