Zola E. Maddox

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, Mrs. Zola Estelle Maddox, 96.

Zola was born in Aiken County, SC but was a lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. She was a longtime member of Marks Baptist Church where she taught youth and adult Sunday School, sang in the choir, and loved Vacation Bible School. Zola was a loving mother and a special Mema. She loved her church and church family where she gave lots of hugs.

Family members include her daughter: Wyanne Moseley (Ralph); sons: Charles Maddox and Larry Maddox (Donna); grandchildren: Sheila Boulware (Greg), Michael Hall, Wade Maddox (Jessica), Daniel Maddox (Jamie) and Adrienne Maddox; great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Cassidy and Chandler, Elam, Jordan, Ryane, Braydon, and one great great grand and many other loving family members. Zola was preceded in death by her parents: Milton A. Eidson and Jerushia Williams Eidson; husband: Clifford S. Maddox; son: Ronald “Ronnie” Maddox and 9 siblings.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Marks Baptist Church with Rev. Hal Hodgens, and Chaplain Mike Sides officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. at the church. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fronek, Larry Maddox, Wade Maddox, Daniel Maddox, Michael Hall, Greg Boulware, Chandler Boulware and Stanley McIntire.
